ANGINA AND YOUR DIET: WHAT DO YOU EAT?
Before you can start changing the food you eat, you must first discover what it is you eat already.
The only way of doing this is to keep a food diary (see below) for about a week. You not only want to know what you eat but where and when you eat it.
Start your food diary by jotting down everything you have eaten so far today. By the end of the week you will have a clear idea of what your eating habits are. Do not assume you know this already. The food diary may surprise you, as many people are unaware of just how much food and drink they consume between meals.When you have completed your food diary, you can then look back and see the amount of unhealthy foods you eat. If you take sugar in your coffee just add up the number of teaspoons of sugar you have taken. You may be surprised. In this way your food diary can be used as you work your way through this chapter. For example, in the Fibre section there is a list of changes you can make to increase the fibre content in your diet. Just check your food diary against the list of things to do, you may decide those you are not doing may be worthwhile trying.
